B.A./M.A. Slavic Languages and Literatures, University of Chicago, 2008.
Since 2016, Lecturer in Russian at five colleges (serving Mount Holyoke College, Smith College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst).

Irina’s research interests include nineteenth century novel in Russia and Europe, including conceptions of the “Great Russian Novel” in Anglophone criticism and writerly practice; she has worked on Polish language literature.
