Slavic 172: Topics in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian

This advanced Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian language and culture course allows students to hone their ability to analyze and discuss BCS texts written in a range of genres and academic disciplines. Students will develop, in particular, their reading and writing fluency through activities and assignments that encourage mastery of sophisticated nuances of BCS usage. Emphasis will be placed on strategies for approaching challenging authentic texts in a variety of media. Throughout the course, students will broaden and deepen their understanding of the the cultural landscape of the former Yugoslavia.
