The course on advanced Russian grammar and reading is meant for students who have completed the lower-division Russian sequence (Slavic 1-4). It can also be taken by heritage speakers with an adequate language background, following a preliminary placement test. The course will cover less familiar and more challenging areas of Russian grammar and syntax; and develop reading fluency and sophisticated vocabulary.
There will be written home assignments, grammar and vocabulary quizzes, and several tests.
Those interested in additional speaking practice should consider Slavic 120A: Advanced Russian Conversation and Communication.
Prerequisites: Slavic 4 or equivalent.
